LEO'S LOSERS by Leo Haggerty PFWAA
LEO'S LOSERS. I will be adding my Super Bowl Loser next week but I wanted to make sure that I touched on this now. Do as I say and not as I do and here's why.
I agreed to pick LEO'S LOSERS for the entire NCAA and NFL season. If I had been doing this in reality I would have quit in October after my horrific start to the year. That's because I follow three rules when it comes to sports gambling. I strongly encourage you to do the same and here they are.
1-Set a limit on the number of games you will bet on each week. I do three NCAA and three NFL. I recommend you do not exceed three but you can always do less.
2-Set a limit on the amount of money you are willing to lose. This season my ceiling would have been $2000 for the NCAA and $2000 for the NFL and that was based on how I did the previous year where I finished in the black with both groups. Make sure you do it before Week 1 and do not waver. Remember you need to be playing with disposable income and not the money that you're using to make the mortgage payment.
3-NEVER chase after your losses. Choose your games and live with it. Celebrate your wins and lament your losses but do not bet extra games to try and make up for losses. That's throwing good money after bad.
Sports wagering can be fun and it should be. Treat it like a vacation. How much are you will to spend to be entertained from the end of August until the beginning of February?
If you follow that mantra you will never go wrong. In fact you may even see a return on your investment and I was able to experience that the last four years but not this one.
Overall, after five years I'm still playing with house money and that's the bottom line. Just hope you listen to my pontification.
