TAMPA BAY SPORTS SCENE. Another very limited week of sporting events in the Tampa Bay area courtesy of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Here's hoping that is the last we see of these big storms in 2024. So here's what went down in West Central Florida. BUCS. Had to flee the Tampa Bay area to New Orleans with all family members and pets on Tuesday but it didn't effect the outcome as the Buccaneers demolish the Saints 51-27 in The Big Easy. Host the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night at the RayJay. LIGHTNING. Opened the season with 2 wins. 4-1 over the Hurricanes, how ironic is that, in Raleigh and, after having home opener was rescheduled with Carolina for a later date, another 4-1 triumph over the Vancouver Canucks. Another home tilt with the Las Vegas Golden Knights Thursday night with the puck dropping at 7 pm. Then the Bolts hit the road for three games. Saturday North of the Border in Ottawa to take on the Senators at 1 pm. Then travel to Toronto for a game Monday with the Maple Leafs at 7:30 pm. Quick trip back to the States to Newark to take on the New Jersey Devils Tuesday at 6:45 pm. USF. Had to move the game with Memphis from Friday to Saturday as well as the venue from Tampa to Orlando. Bulls fell to Tigers 21-3. Hopefully back at Raymond James Stadium for Saturday tilt with the UAB Blazers. Kickoff scheduled for 3:30 pm but Homecoming has been rescheduled to later in the season. ROWDIES. Lost 2-1 at Louisville City FC on Saturday. On the road again Saturday at the North Carolina FC with action on the pitch starting at 5 pm. SUN. Fixture at Fort Lauderdale United FC on Saturday was cancelled. Next contest at Brooklyn FC on Wednesday beginning at 7:30 pm. Book it Dano!
