SCREAMIN' FROM THE CHEAP SEATS by Leo Haggerty PFWA
SCREAMIN' FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. Screaming at the NFL an for good reason. No problem opening up the season with a prime time tilt on Thursday and Friday. I'm on board with that along with a preponderance of fans and teams alike. What I'm screaming about is playing the opening game in a foreign country. Rewarding the reigning Super Bowl Champs Kansas City Chiefs with a home contest on Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens to open the season is great move. Maryland to Missouri is doable. Just over 1000 miles. Easy plane flight. Having Green Bay and Philadelphia travel to Sao Paulo in Brazil is a terrible decision by The Shield. First, over 5000 miles one way for both teams. Second, players have come out publicly fearing for their safety after being informed by the NFL about what to do and not do in the largest city in Brazil. Thoughts need to be on football and obviously they aren't. Let's hope the powers that be in he National Football League end this experiment of an opening game in a foreign country after this one debacle. Book it Dano!
