SCREAMING’ FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. Who am I screaming at today? Screaming at the NFL ONLY because they’re doing this now. In reality it applies to EVERY sporting event that televises the playing of The National Anthem so I’m truly screaming at all of them as well. People in attendance are asked to stand and remove their hats for the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. No problem there until you hear the beginning notes being played and/or sung triggering a bevy of camera people scurrying around getting close ups of players and coaches during its entire playing. To me, and if I’m in the minority I will profusely apologize, that is disrespectful. Can all the leagues please instruct the networks that ANY movement during this solemn occasion of around two minutes is unacceptable and inappropriate. Have all camera personnel remain stationary until the anthem comes to a conclusion. You can film. Just don’t move. In my humble opinion it’s a matter of respect. Book it Dano!
