SCREAMIN’ FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. Yelling today at all the college and professional sports franchises but especially the NBA. Only because it just happened to the National Basketball Association.

Please do a better job of keeping non team personnel off the court at the conclusion of the contest. The incident that occurred between Milwaukee Bucks great Giannis Antetokounmpo and the father of Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton could have been disastrous.

Whatever occurred that led to that face to face confrontation is immaterial. The fact that the NBA allowed anyone to come on to the court is what needs to be addressed now.

Commissioner Adam Silver needs to immediately issue a directive to every NBA franchise. That edict must be that any individual who is not part of the two teams participating in the contest that tries or enters the court area will be arrested and banned from attending any future NBA game.

Would that be an overreaction by the Commish? Not at all because if you’re seen the aforementioned incident you realize like I do that it could have easily exploded into an incendiary event where individuals could have been seriously injured or worse.

How does the NBA eliminate this from happening again? Simple fix is to ban any postgame incursion on to the court by non participants and to punish any perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law. End of story.
