RECORDS THAT WON'T BE BROKEN.

I am going to have to go with Cuban Greco-Roman wrestler Mijain Lopez Nunez. The 41 year old (and yes he's that old) just set Olympic history by securing his 5th consecutive gold medal in the 130-kilogram weight class. He is the first wrestler to win a fistful of gold and the first athlete in any event to secure five consecutive gold medals. I was tempted to not put this as a record that will never be broken only because there was a possibility that Nunez may consider competing in the 2028 Olympiad in Los Angeles. That thought was squelched immediately after the 6-0 triumph over former Cuban now Chilean wrestler Acosta Fernandez when the 6'5" 290 pounder removed his shoes and placed them on the mat symbolically stating that he is retiring.

Book it Dano!
