WHAT’S BROKE & NEEDS FIXING. Got to take issue with Major League Baseball as it applies to scheduling. There is a major portion broken and needs fixing immediately.

With the longest regular season schedule that encompasses 162 games from late March until the middle of September MLB stretches over some major holidays. Mother’s Day & Father’s Day & Independence Day & Labor Day & Memorial Day to name a few but let’s concentrate on the last one.

On those specific holidays all 30 Big League teams need to be playing, especially if you claim to be The National Pastime. Fans expect and equate those holidays with baseball.

The fact that yesterday being Memorial Day had 6 MLB teams not scheduled to play. In my mind that is inexcusable.

MLB needs to get on the stick because it’s a simple fix. When scheduling the 2026 regular season this winter lock in all 30 teams over those major holidays. Then work the schedule out from there.

This can never happen again. Right Commish?
