BREAKING NEWS. Here’s the breaking news I’m really looking to hear soon. What is it you ask? It’s the MLB Hall of Fame voting procedures.

I would just like the voter who decided to keep Ichiro Suzuki off their 2025 Hall of Fame ballot to identify themselves. And while we’re on the subject the one voter who chose to leave Derek Jeter off of their 2020 tally sheet as well.

All I’m asking is for those two Hall of Fame voters to stand up and explain their rationale. I forgot he was eligible. I made a mistake. I didn’t want anyone else to go into the HOF unanimously.

I could understand any of those reasons but to be the only person to not vote for these two overwhelmingly deserving players for enshrinement into Cooperstown and not have to own up to it. That’s just not right Buddy.

We ask players after a game, win or lose, to stand up and be accountable. The Hall of Fame needs to do the same and end secret ballots.

A HOF voter must disclose their choices. It won’t make it right for #51 and #2 but it would guarantee that no voter can hide behind the curtain of anonymity in the future.

Come on Hall of Fame. Make this right so it never happens again.

BOOK IT DANO!
