WHAT’S BROKE AND NEEDS FIXING. What’s broke you ask? None other than the NFL when it comes to scheduling for Thursday night football.

As the schedule now stands a vast majority of the teams that are competing on Thursday will play the previous Sunday. That allows 3 days for recovery and preparation plus if you’re the team that has to travel you’re at an even greater disadvantage. All that equates to is a propensity for bad football on Thursday night and that’s more  normally what we witness.

So how do we fix that Buddy? The answer to that inquiry isn’t as difficult as you might imagine and here’s how it’s done.

Both teams playing on Thursday night will be coming off their bye week. No advantage for either franchise. This allows for 10 days to treat all the bumps and bruises from the previous contest as well as to sufficiently compose a game plan for the upcoming tilt and if it applies not have to rush to travel.

Now here’s the best part. You still have 9 days to get ready for the next encounter on the gridiron but a player isn’t trying to deal with the physical demands of two games in 5 days.

NFL are you listening? Let’s hope so because if you have any interest in increasing the regular season schedule to 18 games you have to make Thursday night football not only more competitive than it is now but more importantly safer for the players.

BOOK IT DANO!
