SCREAMIN’ FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. Shoutin’ loud at the media who are just bringing the Caitlin Clark scenario to the forefront and making it sound like a revelation. To all of my brothers and sisters in the business who have gone down that road you’re late to the party and here’s why.

In early September on ESPN Radio New Orleans host Gus Kattengell and I brought these salient points to the forefront very early in the WNBA season. Here’s a quick reminder of the fistful of reasons GKat and I put out on the airwaves that have come to fruition.

1-Caitlin Clark is the ONLY reason people are watching the WNBA.

2-People especially WNBA players cannot accept the fact that a straight white attractive female is immediately the face of the league.

3-WNBA league officials need to dictate to players that a high tide raises all boats and the CC Phenomenon is a tidal wave to a league that has been in the red since its inception.

4-If Clark leaves and goes elsewhere to another foreign league to play the WNBA will have killed the golden goose and will go back to being irrelevant.

5-Clark is far and away the best player in the WNBA now.

Memo to the sports media. Stop trying to sell the narrative that this is breaking news. Gus and I were all over this story almost a year ago when none of you were brave enough to jump in. Just recognize that ok?

That, as Paul Harvey would so eloquently state, is the rest of the story. I hope the WNBA powers that be reads that and gets their players onboard or the league will go down faster than the Titanic.
